It seems that every bar and restaurant around have the same spirits, beers and cocktails in their inventory. So what the customer ends up paying for is a location, rather than quality or ingenuity. Why put a cosmopolitan on the house cocktail list? Everyone knows what it is and if someone wants one, they’ll order it whether or not it’s on the list! The philosophy that we try to impress upon our customers is to expect more from your watering hole.

This is why we created Modus; this very frustration became our inspiration. Sure, we know that most people have their “go to” drink, and that’s fine, but after they sit down and settle in, our customers tend to notice the obscure liqueurs and boutique spirits that most bars may never use. The bartender might even taste you on one or two things, because let’s face it, we’re here to educate and inspire. You may not replace your favorite, but your experience might have you trading it in every so often.

We strive to source the most artesian, boutique spirits in the world. Our beers are hand selected and appreciated for their brewer’s attention to detail and style. We fresh press all of our juices everyday from organic produce. We take what is local and seasonal and we invent, until we have cocktails that are original to this place. Ariana, the cocktail guru is always working the classics into new and refreshing versions. Each drink has a signature of originality that you will not find anywhere else in this city.
